Tanha Tabassum speaking at Health Asia 2026 in Karachi

British-Bangladeshi health-technology entrepreneur Tanha Tabassum, founder and chief executive of NeuroCheck Pro, took part in Health Asia Conference 2026 in Karachi as an international speaker.

The 23rd edition of the three-day health and medical-industry gathering was held from September 10 to 12 with doctors, researchers and sector representatives from several countries in attendance. Tabassum spoke at the fourth International Conference on Digital Health, organised under the theme “Transforming Healthcare Through Digital Innovation” by the Pakistan Center for Digital Health in collaboration with Pakistan’s Ministry of National Health Services, Regulations and Coordination.

Tabassum said meeting Federal Minister for National Health Services Syed Mustafa Kamal and hearing his perspective on the future of digital health in Pakistan was a notable part of the visit.

During her address, she discussed the pressure created by long waits for ADHD and autism assessments in the United Kingdom. She described NeuroCheck Pro as a platform designed to keep the assessment pathway in a single record, allowing patients to begin the process independently while giving clinicians organised information for the diagnostic stage.

She also joined a roundtable with government officials, non-governmental organisations and healthcare leaders. The discussion, attended by health-sector parliamentarian and Prime Minister’s Health Programme chief executive Muhammad Arshad, included ways to advance neurodevelopmental diagnosis in Pakistan.

Tabassum said technology could widen access but sustained progress would depend on cooperation among healthcare professionals, institutions and technology providers. She praised members of Pakistan’s medical community for focusing on how technology could be integrated without compromising clinical judgement.

She thanked Dr Zakiuddin Ahmed for the invitation and hospitality during what she said was her first visit to Pakistan. Tabassum, who has family roots in Chattogram, is the daughter-in-law of former Bangladeshi ambassador Abida Islam.

More information about the platform is available on the NeuroCheck Pro website.
