Biman Bangladesh Airlines will increase its direct Dhaka–Narita service from one to two flights a week starting October 29, the national carrier said on Saturday, October 24.
According to Biman’s director of marketing and sales, Md Ashraful Alam, flights on the route are scheduled for Mondays and Thursdays. The airline resumed direct services on July 27 after a suspension of more than a year, initially operating one weekly flight.
The additional service coincides with Prime Minister Tarique Rahman’s scheduled official visit to Japan from October 26 to 29. Biman said the prime minister is expected to return aboard the new Thursday flight from Narita. The added frequency is intended to improve passenger connectivity and could also support bilateral business and tourism links.
