German Vice Minister Dr Bärbel Kofler is scheduled to arrive in Dhaka on October 25 for a three-day visit focused on the future of development cooperation between Germany and Bangladesh.
The German Embassy said on October 24 that Kofler would lead a delegation from the Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development for government-to-government discussions. The agenda includes long-term resilience, sustainable growth and Bangladesh’s economic transition as it prepares to graduate from least-developed-country status.
The visit is also expected to include political meetings and inspections of development projects in Chattogram. Germany described the talks as part of its longstanding development partnership with Bangladesh.
