National Desk: Bangladesh inaugurated the two-day Solar Expo 2026 at the Bangladesh-China Friendship International Conference Centre in Agargaon, Dhaka, on November 3, according to BSS. Prime Minister Tarique Rahman opened the event.

Organised by the Power Division and Infrastructure Development Company Limited (IDCOL), the expo highlights rooftop solar systems, solar irrigation, green finance, tax and tariff incentives and renewable-energy skills.

Organisers say it is intended to support the National Renewable Energy Development Strategy 2026–2030 and help stakeholders understand available policies. Holding the exhibition does not itself mean new generating capacity has been commissioned.
