Shohidul Islam, Correspondent: The 19th Bangladesh Caterers Association (BCA) Awards took place at Park Plaza Westminster Bridge in London on November 1, celebrating British-Bangladeshi restaurants, chefs and hospitality entrepreneurs. According to a correspondent’s report, the gathering drew nearly 1,000 guests.

The event recognised culinary excellence and the sector’s contribution to jobs, local businesses and communities. Ian Collins and Anila Dhami hosted the ceremony.

Special honours went to MP Kevin Bonavia, Brick Lane entrepreneur Abdul Jabbar and Dr Nazia Khanum OBE. BCA president Oli Khan MBE described the awards as a celebration of the people, businesses and shared heritage behind British-Bangladeshi hospitality. The association says it was founded in 1960.
