Bangladesh received US$11.134 billion in workers’ remittances from July through October 27 of fiscal year 2026–27, a 13.3% increase over the US$9.83 billion received in the corresponding period a year earlier, according to central-bank figures released on October 28.
Receipts for October 1–27 reached US$2.543 billion, compared with US$2.244 billion over the same days in 2025. The amount received on October 27 alone was approximately US$91 million.
These are partial-period figures rather than the final totals for October or the fiscal year. Remittances remain an important source of foreign exchange for the economy.
