November 5, 2026 — A tanker was struck by two unidentified projectiles approximately 50 nautical miles north of Madinat ash Shamal, Qatar, at around 2320 GMT on November 4, according to the United Kingdom Maritime Trade Operations agency, as reported by Reuters.

The condition of the crew and the extent of the damage had not been confirmed at the time of the report. The agency did not identify the source of the projectiles or assign responsibility.

The incident comes amid the United States–Iran conflict and continuing Qatari mediation efforts. In a separate October 30 incident, Qatar’s Nakilat reported that its LNG carrier Al Mayeda had been struck by unidentified objects; it said no crew members were injured and the vessel remained operational.
