Biman Bangladesh Airlines has formed a four-member committee to investigate a technical fault affecting flight BG 377, which was due to carry Bangladesh’s prime minister and entourage from Narita to Dhaka on October 29.

An office order issued on October 30 gives the committee four working days to report to the airline’s managing director. The panel includes officials from planning, engineering, flight safety and legal affairs.

Investigators will examine the cause of the fault, the measures used to establish aircraft fitness, the resulting delay and costs, and whether any procedural shortcomings or negligence occurred. The investigation has not yet established responsibility.
