Chinese artificial-intelligence startup DeepSeek has raised about 100 billion yuan, roughly $15 billion, in its latest funding round, according to people familiar with the matter.
Reuters reported that CATL and Tencent were among the largest investors, while GigaDevice, Meituan, Geely, Midea, NetEase and several investment firms also took part.
Sources said DeepSeek was valued at about 500 billion yuan before the new capital. The round could be completed within days, though financial terms and the final investor lineup may still change.
